About Me:

Angela Marie D’Antonio

Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.” -Albert Einstein

As a dedicated homeschooling parent and education professional, I embarked on a journey that profoundly shaped my understanding of dyslexia and its impact on learning. It wasn't until my daughter reached seventh grade that we discovered she had dyslexia. Despite our efforts with various programs aimed at improving her reading fluency and spelling skills, none seemed to yield the desired results. Her verbal acuity and comprehension skills concealed the struggles she faced academically, which only heightened our concern.

Over time, our quest for effective intervention led us to the Barton Reading and Spelling program, recommended by renowned dyslexia specialists Brock and Fernette Eide. To our immense relief and joy, the program proved to be transformative. Witnessing the tangible progress in my daughter's reading abilities inspired me to extend support to others in my community facing similar challenges.

Driven by my daughter's advocacy for dyslexia awareness and armed with the success of Barton tutoring, I began offering my services to children in need. The impact was profound and immediate. Within a mere six weeks, students identified as dyslexic demonstrated remarkable advancements in their reading abilities, defying previous struggles and setbacks.

Launching my Barton tutoring business not only reaffirmed my passion for teaching but also underscored the profound satisfaction derived from witnessing students' rapid improvement and newfound enthusiasm for reading. It's immensely gratifying to witness once reluctant readers embrace books for pleasure, laying the foundation for a lifelong love of learning essential for future success.
